2010 USA/ASA Girls' Class A 12-Under Fast Pitch National Softball Tournament - Day #2 (Sunday)

Practice Day

There are six of us staying in a room….(that way we could save money!!!)

After we all got up, got ready, we headed down to breakfast. At least at the hotel we are staying at they have a daily breakfast that honestly isn’t that bad….My plan is to eat a big breakfast, no lunch, and a small dinner, especially if we have to continue to have “Team dinners”.

After we all had breakfast we headed down to the ball fields. Winslow Sports Park….

Tammera (one of the mom’s on the team that Paityn and I are sharing a car with) was driving…. We were actually the last car in the convoy of cars. There was a stop light that turned red and us and 2 other cars were left behind. We thought we were following the correct car, but once he turned into a church (being Sunday…) we knew we had messed up. We quickly punched the address into one persons GPS and off we went again. We were again the last car in the 3 car convoy. A policeman pulled behind us, making us go the speed limit, while everyone else sped ahead.

It must be my sick since for things…but without a map or GPS I found the correct ball fields!!!!

The girls completed a full practice and then decided to go to the “Steak n’ Shake” for lunch, another local favorite. It was just another hamburger place, but good prices!!!

After lunch we decided to do a little shopping at a mall across the street. One girl’s needed more socks and another had heard about a sale at another store. We finally headed back to the hotel. The girls went swimming to cool off and have some fun….

They all got ready for another “Team Bonding” activity. They all went to see a movie at a local theater. They went to see “Charlie St Cloud”. I didn’t go, but the girls said it was just “ok”.

We drove to pick the girls up from the movies and got stuck going to another dinner…this time at “Golden Corral”, YUCK!!!!! I remember eating at those when I lived in Turlock and my grandmother would take us to it…I didn’t really care for it then and you know what…I still don’t care for it now.

We came back to the hotel, the girls went swimming ine more time, painted their nails, and decorated their gift bags (for tomorrow).

Another day gone and time for bed…..
